Speaking of books that didn't get enough attention at the time:
Imaro III: The Trail of Bohu by Charles Saunders is now available again in a nice new edition.
The three Imaro books were first published around 1981, and the first two were re-released by Nightshade in 2006 (Imaro and The Quest for Cush). They're set in an alternate version of Africa, with magic, sword and sorcery, and lots of great adventure.
I read the first book when it came out, and never could find the next two, so I'm really glad these are finally coming out in new revisied editions.
Dossouye by Charles Saunders, also set in a land based on the African kingdom of Dahomey, about the adventures of a woman warrior who has to leave her home and go into exile.
