The weekend got off to a great start last night, when I was watching Psych: At the line "I know this for certain, just as I know that Gus will cause his own death," and Gus's reaction shot, and I did a classic spit-take, which resulted in an entire mouthful of listerine in my lap. So that was fun.

Different links for Saturday morning:

Elizabeth Moon's Blog 80 Acres: Wildlife Management and Prairie Restoration, Small Scale, about working on her ranch outside Austin.

Hexagon Comics: a library of over 5,000 comic books consisting of over 500 characters, created and published over the past 50 years that have sold over 400 million units, mostly in France, Italy and Spain. (When I went to the Utopiales Convention in Nantes, in 2006 one of the things that really struck me is the amount of original SF/F books, comics, and graphic novels being published in Europe that we never see because it never gets translated and published over here.)

LibraryThing is being forced by Amazon to remove links to other booksellers on work pages. Everyone at LibraryThing disagrees with this decision. LibraryThing is not a social cataloging and social networking site for Amazon customers but for book lovers.

.. Amazon is just determined to keep bringing the fail, isn't it? *sighs*

It really does, and I have the feeling it's just going to get worse.

Psych was full of the delightfully silly last night

I really wanted to see the whole Bollywood play they were doing, too.

Amazon and Google are getting bloody out of hand.

That's noe reason I keep reading manga. FRom what I understand, the F&SF writers/artists in Japan are drawn to that particular medium. I've seen some very good storylines, even with the tongue-firmly-planted-in-cheeks bits, like with the series The Slayers</i>. Yea, a lot of it goes into anime, as well as manga.

Ha! Aha! Epic fail with .html, lol.
