Bookends: A Discussion of Sell-Through One of the biggest problems, arguably, is that publishers still allow for returns. That means a bookstore can order 5,000 copies of your book, not dedicate any time or effort to sell it, and return any or all copies that don’t sell to the publisher.

This weekend Troyce got sick with something that sounds a lot like strep throat. He's going to the doctor (if he can get an appointment) today, so we'll see. It's supposed to get up to 50 today, so I'm hoping the ice in the fountain and the pond melts, and the frozen dormant water lily is still alive.
