ArmadilloCon Writers Workshop

It's a last minute change, but I wanted to let people know that I am going to be one of the teachers at the ArmadilloCon Writers Workshop on August 27, in Austin. It's a great workshop, and the deadline for sign-up is July 1.

heathersk asked: I've lost my muse apparently, how do you get inspiration when that happens to you?

When I'm having trouble getting ideas, usually it's because I'm overtired, stressed, and let myself get into a rut. The things that usually work for me is to get out of the rut, do something different. Read a book by an author I've never read before, or go somewhere I haven't been before, or don't go very often, even if it's just somewhere in town. It also helps me to do things like clean the house, but that's me.

Also, you just have to learn to buckle down and write without inspiration. If you're writing, the inspiration will come along eventually.

Still taking writing questions here, about publishing or writing in general or my writing.
