We spent Christmas at home again this year, and it's been very nice and relaxed. We opened presents, ended up with a ton of candy, and made dinner (smoked turkey breast, dressing, gravy, rolls, peas, mashed potatoes, and pumpkin pie) and have been eating leftovers ever since. (I may try to make turkey soup.) Watched Christmas movies like The Muppet Christmas Carol (our holiday favorite) and Love Actually. The other day I decided to watch the Nero Wolfe Christmas episode and ended up watching the whole first season. So it's been a good holiday so far.

Sounds like a fine holiday indeed. We had a similar low-key Christmas, ingesting mega-calories at my parents' place, giving and receiving modest and exceptionally practical gifts, mocking the televised offerings of the day. Mucho fun!

If we don't see you before (like tomorrow), happy New Year!

Happy New Year to you too!

Yeah, I find I like low-key holidays a lot. And I was glad we didn't have to travel this year so we could avoid the crazy traffic.

I have been celebrating by re-reading the 'Fall of Ile-Rien' trilogy, wearing the 'Hello Kitty' pyjamas that my daughter gave me. Bliss!

Cool, glad you're enjoying it (again)! :)

Sounds good to me. Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to you too!

Glad to hear you guys had such a relaxing holiday! We did almsot the exact thing, only we watched "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon King" and "The Bourne Ultimatum" instead of the Muppets. Practically the same thing, though, right? ;)

Exactly! :) That sounds great; I love the Bourne movies and the Mummy movies. I think last year at this time we watched all three LotR movies

Ah, Christmas, best time of the year. Unfortunately, I had my nose in a book instead of a movie... I did watch a few on Christmas Eve, though. I wasn't sure how the food was though, i never left the book... at least it was good.
